Lacuna

exine area which looks like a pore.

Lacunate

pollen grain with lacunae (pseudoapertures).

Lalongate

type of pore in which the horizzontal axis is longer than the vertical one.

Leptoma

a poorly defined area of the exine, which acts as an aperture.

Lirae

parallel elements in relief present in striate pollen, which normally alternate with striae.

Lo analysis

the pollen study of structural and sculptural elements through the specific and professional use of optical microscope.

Lobate

distinctive pollen shape in polar view.

Lolongate

type of pore in which the vertical axis is longer than the horizontal one.

Lophate

ref. sculture. Fenestrate sporoderm.

Lumen

the inner area of a reticulum mesh, surrounded by murus.
